October 21st, 2021 was a tragic day in Hollywood as 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins passed away at the UNM hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Alec Baldwin accidentally misfired a prop gun that had a live round.
Following Hutchins' tragic passing, Baldwin was told about her death by a deputy sheriff. Baldwin froze after the reveal for 24 seconds.
The sheriff says, "I do have some very unfortunate news to tell you. She didn't make it." Baldwin responds, "No!" The actor went silent for several seconds. Baldwin then steps out of the room and says, "I want to call my wife." He is then photographed sobbing outside while on the phone."

Rust Crew Member Ross Addiego Detailed The Horrible Moments After The Shooting Took Place
The situation is ongoing at this point. In February, Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was charged with involuntary manslaughter and tampering with evidence. Witness Ross Addiego discussed what he saw on the day of the horrible incident. Addiego claims the past on set was too frantic, and things were moving way too fast. The witness recounted what took place.
"The first person I made eye contact with was Halyna, who was clearly injured. In fact, she was starting to go flush and I think holding her right side. I think I yelled out, ‘If you can’t help, get ... out of here, and someone call 911.'”
CP24 then revealed that Addiego stated safety precautions were not met.
"Prosecutors guided Addiego through testimony in which he described his anger and frustration with safety procedures on set, including the sight of a storage cart for guns and ammunition that frequently appeared to be unattended and Gutierrez-Reed's work as an armorer in charge of loading guns with blank and dummy rounds. Investigators found six live rounds on the set of “Rust,” including the one that killed Hutchins."
Addiego added, “At times we seemed to be working at ludicrous speeds. We always seemed to be rushed and under the gun.”
